I draw my inspiration from my childhood environment in Arizona as well as my experiences throughout the country and abroad. I have lived in New York City, Toronto, and Johannesburg. My interests consist of images of fabricated environments with both aesthetic appeal and a reference to the solitude that I felt going out into my neighborhood as a child. While not always, I often feature working class automobiles to reinforce a nostalgic theme that has a direct line to my childhood. The automobiles continue to present interesting shapes and perspectives within this pseudo-industrial space. To place these automobiles, I draw upon the gritty, bypassed areas that go beyond the façade of how cities want to be perceived. The vehicles are unseen and ignored like the spaces they inhabit.
